I finally get around to writing the third review of a major Luc Besson flick.

French punk chick turned assassin? Yes, please! I love Luc Besson; he is one of the best movie makers out there. His films might not be the most provocative or the most suspenseful and intriguing, but his storytelling style is unique in just the right kind of way–nothing Spielberg about it!

Who knew cleaning could be so fun?!

Oh Leon, you middle man in the Luc Besson trio, how you entertain! You may not be as French as Nikita or as Bruce as Korben, but you make up for it in your milk bingeing, plant loving, badass-ness. The Fifth Element

Being the movie that started my addiction to Luc Besson, The Fifth Element is probably his best known work. But because something is well known does not mean it is well received. This movie is often criticized as being Besson’s weakest attempt at character and plot development, especially when compared to other films such as La Femme Nikita or Leon The Professional.
